Advocacy Resources – Retired

Action Resources

As a values-driven organization of liberal/progressive men, the Hamiltons are concerned citizens who want to improve their communities and the nation. While they keep up with the news and appreciate the wisdom of guest speakers and educational forums, they know there is more to civic life than just understanding and complaining about injustices, incompetence, corruption, and public greed. Many want to take action by answering these proverbial questions: “What can I do?” and “How can I be more effective?” We initially answered these questions by forming advocacy sub-groups focused on environment, prison and justice reform, and economic/income inequality.

But as we move into 2020 we need to do much more. If you want to take action and make a difference, start by clicking on the links below. The first one – Elected Officials – will take you to local representatives you may want to call, write, visit, support, or protest against. The second link – Progressive Opportunities – opens up the fascinating world of progressive organizations that ARE making a difference. Covering over 25 categories, this directory links to 200+ progressive organizations that welcome your participation. Check them out to see what other like-minded progressives are doing to make a real difference in the lives of others!
