About Us

The Skidaway Hamiltons was formed in 2017 by a group of non-partisan men representing a variety of educational and professional backgrounds who share similar concerns relating to public policy and social justice issues. They sponsor talented monthly speakers who address many important educational and action-oriented issues impacting our community. Past presentations, for example, focused on:

Savannah’s homeless population and chronic poor
Mass incarceration and prison reform
Local confederate monuments and changing racial attitudes
Voting preparation with Savannah’s Board of Elections
COVID-19 and public health issues in Chatham County
Mental health challenges in Chatham County
