Chatham County Superior Court Candidates

Two Candidates Discuss the Challenges
Facing the Chatham County Judiciary

What do you know about the Chatham county court system? Two nonpartisan candidates – Juvenile Court Judge Lisa Colbert and attorney Tracy O’Connell — join the Skidaway Hamiltons on January 21st (7pm at the Messiah Lutheran Church) to discuss the present and future of the Chatham County judicial system in reference to the upcoming election. With the pending retirement of long-serving Chatham County Superior Court Judge James Bass, these two candidates offer a wealth of experience and insight into what makes our local judiciary tick.

Learn about the unique backgrounds and experiences of these two candidates as well as ongoing judicial reforms, from operating innovative accountability/treatment counts to changing the age of criminal liability from 17 to 18. While no controversial issues define this nonpartisan election, nonetheless, this is a great opportunity to meet the candidates and learn more about the local court system. The meeting will include short presentations followed by Q&A sessions.
