The Georgia Presidential Primary has been moved to Tuesday, May 19, but beginning on Monday, March 23, voters can request mail-in absentee ballots for the May 19 election. It is recommended that you not wait until the last minute to request an absentee ballot & return them. Here are the important Primary election dates:
· Early Voting: April 27 through May 15
· Voter Registration Deadline: April 20
· Absentee Ballot Request Deadline: May 15
· Absentee Ballot Return Deadline: May 18
To request a mail-in absentee ballot, fill out an absentee ballot form and send it by email (as an attachment), mail, fax, or deliver in-person to our local County Board of Registrar’s Office (see below for contact information). You should receive your mail-in ballot in about three business days.
What do I do if I have already voted in the presidential primary?
If you have already cast a ballot (in-person or mail-in absentee) for the Presidential Primary, you can still request an mail-in absentee ballot for the rest of the May 19, 2020, elections, which include races other than the Presidential Primary. Any votes already cast for the Presidential Primary will be counted, but such votes cannot be changed.
